SFU Community Trust to Examine Sustainable Energy Options at UniverCity
As part of its commitment to sustainable development, Simon Fraser Community Trust is partnering with Corix Utilities to examine opportunities for the development of a sustainable energy system at UniverCity. The feasibility study will explore options for providing heat and domestic hot water to new housing projects planned for the UniverCity community.

UniverCity Wins Two Major Awards in One Week
Over the past week the SFU Community Trust has been honoured not once but twice for UniverCity, the innovative residential community that is developing adjacent to Simon Fraser University (SFU) on Burnaby Mountain. In two separate events, one in Ottawa and the other in Dongguan, China, UniverCity was awarded for initiatives that address affordable housing in the Vancouver area, as well as for the overall planning and execution of UniverCity as a model of sustainable community building.
